ESCAPES FROM CASTLE THUNDER. – Tuesday night, two soldiers and a citizen escaped from Castle Thunder by walking out at the door. Edward Agan a member of the 11th United States Infantry, confined as a garroter and thief, and his accomplice, John Hingle, of the same regiment. The two had been members of the military police, and on the night of the transfer of the city from the military to the civil police they were caught in flagrante delectu.

The other escaped prisoner is Henry Morton, and was sent to the Castle in default of the payment of a fine.
