Old River Queen Will Probably Be Blown Up
The junk pile will be the end of the steamer River Queen, destroyed by fire Saturday night at its dock on the river front. Gilbert Benzinger, the owner, has decided to have the wreckage broken into scrap iron.
Dynamite will be used to break up the old vessel, famous as a dispatch boat during the civil war. It will be blown up at the dock, or raised and towed to the Potomac flats for destruction.
