From the Harrisburg (PA) Patriot, 4/24/1914, p. 8, c. 4
TO the list of patriots should be added the Tredegar Iron Works’ owners, who, besides other things, make shrapnel shells in Richmond, Virginia. They turned down an order from the Carranza forces for shells the other day, not because they were not sure of the cash, but because they refused to sell instruments of death that might be used against their country. The attention of everybody should be called to this almost unheard-of decision of an American corporation.
