HURRY ORDERS FOR MUNITIONS OF WAR

RICHMOND, VA., April 23. – Day and night shifts are at work at the Tredegar Iron Works here turning out shells and shrapnel for the United States Army. Several cars are loaded today to be shipped to the Mexican border.

That a rush unlimited “factory capacity” order for their output was recently received from the rebel Mexican force leaked out today. The request came from a New York banking firm, which guaranteed payment.

The Tredegar Company turned down the Mexican order stating that its entire output was at the disposal of this government.
