CARRYING HOME THE DEAD. - Those ominous, long pine boxes, that betoken the dead remains of those who went to the war, now dead and long lost, crowd the office of Adams Express Company. They are, for the most part, the remains only, taken from Oakwood Cemetery and other places where the Federal dead have been buried. They are now being disinterred in great numbers.
We may announce that a surgeon's certificate, certifying that a body is properly disinfected and packed, is necessary to the transportation of remains.
