Impressment and Injunction. – On Monday last the Government, through Gen. Winder, impressed the large tobacco factory of Mr. Wm. H. Grant, corner of Franklin and 19th streets, and gave him notice to remove his private property, as the Government would not be responsible for it. Not liking this kind of business, Mr. Grant asked Judge Lyons for an injunction, restraining the General from taking his property, which was granted as the Judge conceded that taking the building for a hospital for free negroes (the purpose intended) does not apply under the Impressments Act to such houses.
