A Gallant Officer.
Col. George S. Patton, of the 22d Virginia Regiment, is now in the city. He is a very gallant, as well as accomplished officer, and a native of Richmond. He was severely wounded at the battle of Scarey Creek, and has not yet recovered fully. His regiment is from the Kanawha Valley. It is to be hoped he will soon be able to take the field, and yet lead his brave men back to the homes from which they are now driven
