Robbery. — The storeroom of P.A. Woods, near the corner of Cary and Foushee streets, was robbed on Wednesday night of several hundred dollars’ worth of groceries. The provision repository was in the first story of Mr. W.’s residence, and the thieves got into it through a window which they forced open. After securing the eatables they started for other parts of the building, but while ascending the stairs leading from the first to the second story the inmates of the house were aroused, and becoming aware of that fact, they immediately retreated through the way they entered, taking with them the articles referred to above.
