COLORED SCHOOLS IN RICHMOND. – These schools, though not so well attended as during the last session, have quite a number of scholars. The following list will give an idea of what they are accomplishing:
The school at Asbury chapel, under the control of two teachers, has an average attendance of 155 scholars.
The school located at Chimborazo, under the management of two teachers, has an attendance of 125 scholars.
There is also a school at Rocketts, taught by a colored man, which has 76 scholars in regular attendance.
There is also at each of these localities a night school for adults, each with an average attendance of about 50 scholars.
Nothing is taught in the schools mentioned but the elementary English branches.
