Visit to a Prison. – Hon. Landon C. Haynes, of Tennessee, and other members of Congress, on Tuesday visited and inspected Castle Thunder, with whose cleanliness and order they expressed themselves highly please. While at the prison Mr. Haynes was shown the apartment allotted to domestic traitors, (or so called Unionmen). In it were a number of men from East Tennessee. – Many of these were recognized by the honorable gentlemen, who, after a kindly greeting, briefly addressed them in language that brought tears to the eyes of many of them.
