DEATH OF AN OLD CITIZEN. – Mr. Horace L. Kent died at his residence in this city on Monday evening in the sixty-eighth year of his age. Mr. Kent had been a prominent merchant in this city for more than forty years, with the exception of the period since the war, when he was not actively engaged in business. In the death of this gentleman Richmond has lost one of her most valued merchants and citizens – a man of sterling worth and integrity and a Christian gentleman, whose loss will be deeply felt in his church.
His funeral will take place this afternoon from the First Presbyterian church at 4 o’clock.
