From the Richmond Daily Dispatch, 7/5/1862, p. 2, c. 4
All of the Federal officers now held as prisoners of war here were carried, yesterday evening, from the C. S. Prison, on the corner of Cary and 20th streets, to Smith & McCurdy's factory, on 18th street, which had been fitted up for their reception. Genls. Reynolds & McCall, who had been domiciled at the Spottswood House, were carried to the factory after dinner. The usual guard will be maintained over the parties, and no more privileges will be allowed them than is consistent with safety and their position as prisoners. The number of officers (including a number from the old army) is about one hundred and twenty.
