Robbery and Arrests. – Upon Thursday night the dwelling house of Mr. J. M. Daniel was entered and robbed of various articles of property, valued at over two thousand dollars. On yesterday a servant named Christopher, belonging to Alex. Nott, was arrested and deposited in the cage, upon strong suspicion of being the robber.
A negro man named George, owned by Dr. John Leftwich, was also captured and placed in the same institution, upon the serious charge of aiding and carrying slaves into the enemy's lines.
