Genl Hospl No. 12

1st All patients are required to be at their beds at the visits of the Surgeon say 9 o'clock AM and at 5½ o'clock PM.

2nd Convalescent patients are required to make up their one bed and keep them neat and tidy. Spitting on the floor, smoking, loud talking or other noise in the wards are strictly prohibited.

3rd No patient will be allowed to leave the Hospital without a pass from the Asst Surgeon in charge of his ward, the officer of the day, or Surgeon in charge.

4th All convalescent patients or those able to move about but taking medicines must be at their beds at 12 o'clock as well as morning and night at the hour at which the nurse is administering medicine to such patients.

5th Each head nurse has charge of his own ward under the orders of the Asst Surgeon of the ward and Surgeon in charge. He shall see that the rules regulating the conduct of the convalescents are fully carried out. That the wards beds bedding clothing of patients are kept clean and tidy that all prescriptions and orders of the Surgeons are strictly obeyed. That the Diet lists are sent to the Steward immediately after the morning visit of the Surgeons. That the sick receive every attention in the way of nursing medicine food and drink they require under the orders of the Surgeon in charge of the ward.

6th Friends of the patients are allowed to visit them between the hours of 10 AM and 1 PM and again in the afternoon from 3 to 5 o'clock provided that not more than 12 visitors shall be in the Hospital at any one time.

7 Meals will be served as follows Breakfast at ½ past 7, Dinner at ½ past 1, Supper at ½ past 5 o'clock. Lights to be lowered at 8 o'clock PM and the patients in bed.
