INAUGURATION DAY. - To-morrow, His Excellency Jefferson Davis will be inaugurated as President of the Confederate States for a term of six years. It is expected that a large number of persons from the surrounding country will visit the city on the interesting occasion. - The railroad companies will run extra trains to accommodate persons who desire to be present. The proprietor of the hotels and boarding houses should make preparations to entertain an additional number of guests for a day or two. We are not apprized of the arrangements which have been made for the inauguration ceremonies, but presume that they will take place on the Capitol Square, if the weather should prove favorable; otherwise in the Hall of the House of Representatives. The President's Inaugural is looked for with almost impatient interest.
As the occasion will be generally observed as a "gala day," we presume that the places of business will be generally closed. Everybody should have an opportunity of witnessing the inauguration of the first President of the Republic under the permanent government and of hearing the words of encouragement and gratulations he may utter.
