WOULD SELL WHISKEY. – John Charles, formerly bar-keeper on board the steamboats Curtis Peck and Glen Cove, was, on yesterday, arrested and marched to McDaniel's jail, for persisting in selling whiskey at his grog shop, under the first-class gambling house, on Franklin street, next door below the Ballard House.

Since writing the above we have seen the record of the charge against John Charles (he is entered on the books as Hervis G. Scharleman), and find him charged with selling cider.

DISLOYAL – William Fay, a Yankee, who will be recollected as a prominent witness on the trial of Mr. Joseph H. Crenshaw, was yesterday arrested and committed to McDaniel's jail on the charge of disloyalty. He is said to have been a loud-mouthed Union ranter.
