The City Attorney was directed to condemn the Van Lew property for school purposes, the cost not to exceed $25,000. The price has been agreed upon with the owner, Dr. William H. Parker, but the proceedings are necessary to clear the title. Condemnation was also ordered of a lot on Buchanan Street, needed for school purposes.
