The horseshoe department building at the Tredegar Iron Works was damaged, though not seriously, by fire about 9 o’clock last night. The cause of the fire is not known.

Engines 3, 4, and 7 and truck No. 3 responded. The fire was found in the roof of the structure, and it was necessary to pull off a considerable portion of the slate covering to reach it.
