RAID UPON PHOTOGRAPHERS. – The New York Express says that nine negatives and other pictures of the late President, as the remains lay under the catafalque at the City Hall in New York, were seized at the photograph rooms of Messrs. Gurney & Son, on Thursday, by Gen. Dix, under orders from Secretary Stanton. The reason assigned for this action is, that the pictures were surreptitiously obtained, no permission having been given by the War Department. No other photographers obtained pictures, and it is alleged that the seizure was brought about by disappointed rivals.
