The Virginia Battle-fields to be Surveyed.
Major HOWELL, in charge of a party of topographical engineers, left Gen. MEADE’S headquarters yesterday, with directions to proceed across the country to Richmond via the Wilderness, Spottsylvania, North Anna, Cold Harbor, &c., and re-exaamine and survey all the battle-fields, and carefully elaborate the plans already made with a view to their completeness.
