REPUBLICAN REORGANIZATION IN VIRGINIA.
Prominent Republicans of Virginia are now engaged in an effort to reorganize and strengthen the Republican party in that State, by a combination of Republicans and Independent Conservatives, who, in the late election, acted with the Republicans. As the first step in that direction, they are working for the appointment of Judge Morgan, Republican, as postmaster, at Richmond, in the place, of Miss Van Lew, and for General Heath, who served as a Confederate general, and who lately opposed General Bradley T. Johnson for the State senate, to be collector of internal revenue in that city. Other changes are contemplated by those by those who seem to be especially interested in this new political movement. So far they have acted privately, being engaged at present only with the preliminary movement.
