Prominent Surgeon Dead.
RICHMOND, Va., April 24. – Dr. E. H. Smith died Wednesday night. He gained considerable fame during the war as the surgeon of the Chimborazo hospital in this city. He represented the United States as consul under the Garfield and Arthur administrations at Naples.
