Within an inconceivably short space of time this morning the entire spike department of the Tredegar Iron Works, Richmond, was swept away by flames, and machinery and other property, valued at $100,000 and more were destroyed. The loss, which at this moment it is impossible accurately to estimate, is fully covered by insurance.
