From the Richmond Whig, 5/16/1865
ARREST OF THE LATE PROVOST MARSHAL OF RICHMOND. Major Isaac H. Carrington, Provost Marshal of Richmond and the county of Henrico, previous to the evacuation of Richmond, was brought down from Danville on Sunday night, under arrest, and consigned to Castle Thunder.
Major Carrington left Richmond with the Confederate Government, and has, since that time, been in the vicinity of Danville. We know not what charges are alleged against him, nor upon whose order he is incarcerated.
