BOGUS COLLECTORS. - A merchant informed us yesterday that he had been applied to, a few days ago, by an unknown lady, for a subscription in behalf of the sick and wounded soldiers at Chimborazo Hospital. He declined, for satisfactory reasons, to make a donation, and was afterwards informed by one of the Medical Staff that so far from any contributions of money being needed for the patients at Chimborazo Hospital, the contingent fund of that hospital was amply sufficient to provide for the wants of our patients. We mention these facts in order that our citizens may be put upon their guard against unauthorized collectors, or, on the other hand, that proper steps may be taken to secure funds if any financial relief is required.
