DESERTING TO THE ENEMY. - In the early part of this week, five of the soldiers detailed as a guard at the Confederate States Arsenal, deserted. On Thursday they were picked up beyond the Chickahominy by Col. Shingler's cavalry whilst making their way towards the Yankee lines. They were brought to the city and confined in the Castle. Their names are John Cassaday, E. Murphy, J. Brander, C. M. Rex and John Sullivan.
