LOCAL DEFENCE. - Thirteen companies of the newly organized troops for local defence were marched, on Friday, to the Virginia State Armory, corner of Cary and 7th streets, and furnished with a full complement of excellent arms, by order of Gov. Letcher. The force is rapidly increasing, and will soon be very formidable.
