THE LAST OF EARTH. – The obsequies attendant upon the interment of the remains of Willie H. Cabell, one of the Lexington cadets, who died for the “lost cause,” were performed yesterday morning, at the residence of the deceased’s father, Dr. Cabell, Franklin street, in the presence of the old associates and friends of the deceased and the family connections. The obsequies were impressively conducted by the Reverend Doctors Hoge and Woodbridge. The remains were consigned to Hollywood, and were escorted to that “city of the dead” by a numerous cortege, including some of his young classmates of the “V. M. I.” corps of cadets.
