DEAD BODY FOUND, AND INQUEST. – On Sunday the dead body of a negro man, named Tom Hardgrove, formerly a slave of Thomas Hardgrove, Esq., deceased, was found in Blood Run gulley, near Chimborazo Hospital. Constable Cole, of Henrico, summoned a jury of inquest, and an investigation was held by Justice Nettles of the county. The negro’s neck was broken, but whether by violence at the hands of unknown parties, or whether by a fall, the jury were unable to determine. A verdict was rendered of death from causes unknown.
