DESERTED TO THE ENEMY. – A man named Thompson, a member of the Arsenal battalion, deserted on Friday just after coming off picket, near Bottoms' bridge. Our men have been in the habit of swapping tobacco for coffee with the Yankee pickets. Thompson went over to get some coffee, and kept on. He had been, we learn, once put in Castle Thunder on suspicion of disloyalty.
