THE CURRENCY. – We understand that considerable traffic is carried on in the city, and out of it, with Yankee prisoners for Federal treasury notes, and that in many cases a premium is paid for them in Confederate money. The ultimate object is, evidently, to benefit smugglers and blockade runners; but its moral effect in depreciating the paper currency of the South, to the advantage of the paper currency to the North, is a matter of the greatest importance
