RAILROAD. - The Railroad on 8th street to connect the Petersburg and Fredericksburg Railroads, is rapidly approaching completion, and so soon as the bridge across the canal on 8th street is finished, the cars will commence running. The connection will be of great advantage, as it will enable freight to be carried through the city by the railroad instead of by the slow and more expensive way of hauling. In transporting troops and their equipments, it will be found a great convenience.
