From the Richmond Dispatch, 4/26/1862

Released from Prison. – The friends of Mr. Franklin Stearns will learn with pleasure that he was released from imprisonment in Castle Godwin, and permitted to return home. Mr. Stearns was examined before the Court-Martial now sitting here on charges involving his loyalty as a citizen of the Southern Confederacy, but nothing to his prejudice as such was elicited by the examination.
