Sword Presentation. – On Thursday night last the members of company B, Tredegar Battalion, presented their Captain, Thomas S. Alvis, with a beautiful English sword, as a testimonial of their respect. Major R. S. Archer presented it in a speech, to which Capt. Alvis responded in brief and appropriate terms.
