The Deserter Shooting Case. – Detective John B. Williams, who shot on Tuesday night last a man named Joseph Foster, charged with being a deserter, underwent a partial examination yesterday before Commissioner Sands; at the conclusion of which he was committed to Castle Thunder to await further developments and the result of the wound inflicted upon the wounded man.
