AN EAST-END HOSPITAL.
Proposition to Buy the Van Lew Property for This Purpose.

Mr. Otis H. Russell is at the head of a movement to have the Van Lew property, on Grace and Twenty-third streets, converted into a sanatorium.

The proposition that the property should be brought for this purpose was mentioned in the Dispatch several days ago.

The plan is to remove the present buildings and erect on the site a thoroughly ventilated and well-appointed sanatorium. It is argued that such a building would be a boon to the East End, which is without a hospital at this time.
