Escaped from the Guard – Joseph Donohoe, of Greenlee Davidson’s battery, who was undergoing trial before Court-Martial for desertion, escaped yesterday from the armed guard, who were conveying him from the City Hall to Castle Thunder. When passing by the Old Market-House, he suddenly darted into one of the wooden houses near the fish market, got behind the bar, raised a trap door, jumped into a cellar, and thence made his way into Shockoe Creek and speedily disappeared
