Arrests for Military Offences. – Charles Smith, a member of the Alexandria Artillery, was committed to the Military prison yesterday for forging a pass of leave from his company. A G Springer of Co E, 1st Maryland Regt, was put in the same place by officer Boyd for deserting his comrades the second time. Wm Gunter, of Co F, 1st La, has been sentenced by Court-Martial to wear a ball and chain during the war, and work on the fortifications for the same period, for deserting his comrades. The sentence was approved by the commanding General of the Army
