Prison Items. – Early yesterday morning 21 prisoners were brought from Lynchburg, by Detective F. A. New, and lodged in Castle Thunder, six of them being ironed. They were charged with carious offences. On the same day were lodged in the Castle for desertion: Thomas Hunt, co F, 40th Ca reg’t; Thomas Wilkinson, co F, 53d Va; both sent from Halifax county. Five conscripts sent from Henrico county by Lieut. Haines; Wm Fussell, soldier, deserter from hospital at Howard’s Grove; Ro Clarke, John Higgins and Geo Appleby, all three deserters from co K, 15th La; James B Longhride, Richmond Light Artillery; Wm Clarke, 46th Va battalion; Horace Transom, Co E, 53d N C; Jas Brown, co D, 19th N C. There were yesterday over 500 persons confined in this prison.
