From the Richmond Dispatch, 1/15/1863, p. 3, c. 1
A WORD OF PRAISE. – Too much cannot be said in praise of the officers connected with General Hospital No. 7. They spare neither pains nor labor in keeping everything clean, neat, and in the best possible order. IN fact, everything that would add to the comforts of a sick or wounded soldier is beautifully supplied by those in charge. The Matrons deserve a full share of our praise, as they are certainly among the best in the world. Those who doubt the correctness and truth of the above statements may easily call and satisfy themselves. We are sure that as much cannot be said of many others in this city. M.
