From the Richmond Dispatch, 8/6/1862, p. 1, c. 5
Paroled. – Messrs. Dixon and Hughes, who were arrested a few weeks since by a portion of our cavalry below Richmond, for supposed friendliness to the Yankees, and put in Castle Godwin, were released yesterday on parole, after an examination before Commissioner Baxter. It appears that Dixon was a large holder of C. S. bonds.
