From the Richmond Dispatch, 7/23/1861, p. 2
The Fourth Company of Howitzers, now stationed at the New Fair Grounds, need thirty men to make their full complement, (104.) The battalion to which this company is attached and commissioned, has already won an enviable reputation in the hour of battle, and will continue to add lustre to Richmond heroism. Come, then, young men, you who wish to serve your invaded State, and thus earn an imperishable name, join at once this company, and do your duty to your native State.
