From the Richmond Dispatch, 9/13/1862, p. 1, c. 4
Grand Exodus of Yankees. – We learn that all the Yankee prisoners of war now here are to be paroled immediately, and sent home. There are nearly 6,000 the exact number being, we believe, 5,912. This enumeration includes neither Pope's officers or citizen prisoners. Clerks were busy yesterday in getting descriptive lists ready and it is probable that 3,000 of the prisoners will be able to start at 10 o'clock this forenoon.
