From the Richmond Dispatch, 8/25/1862, p. 2, c. 1
→ In stating that a regiment of soldiers (the 42d North Carolina,) was left out in the rain, a few nights since, by neglect in procuring proper shelter for them we were mistaken. The regiment slept on the Capitol Square of its own choice, a building having been procured by its Colonel, but not used, as the men petitioned him to allow them to sleep out.
