From the Richmond Dispatch, 8/6/1862

Captured Flag. – We saw yesterday, at Castle Griswold, corner of 7th and Cary streets, a fine regimental flag which was picked up on one of the battle-fields in front of Richmond on a recent occasion. It is of the Star and Stripe pattern, made of silk, has on it the coat of arms of Pennsylvania, and is inscribed, "Dranesville, December 20, 1861; 1st Rifles, Pennsylvania Reserve Volunteer Corps." When it was found it was neatly rolled up in an oil-silk case, and was lying on the ground, having evidently been dropped by its valorous defenders in their flight.
