From the Richmond Dispatch, 7/24/1862, p. 2, c. 3
DESERTED. – Was sent to the Winder Hospital, about the 20th of May, ARTHUR ROGERS, a private of my company. The said Rogers has deserted from there, and it is believed that he has joined some other company. He is about 5 feet 10 inches high, weighs about one hundred and fifty pounds, freckled face, blueish eyes; has a lazy, sluggish walk, with feet, with feet rather turned out, and generally looks down when spoken to. The usual Government reward will be paid for his arrest and confinement in Castle Godwin, or at my encampment at Tree Hill, below Richmond.
