Body of a Drowned Man Found. - Persons passing in the vicinity of the gauge dock of the basin on yesterday morning had their attention attracted by seeing the body of a dead man floating on the surface of the water. The Coroner was soon notified, and repairing to the spot caused the body to be removed from the water. It was found to be that of an unknown stranger, in the garb of a soldier. No evidence of violence was observable, and as nobody could identify the deceased, the Coroner did not deem it necessary to hold an Inquest. A man was seen to fall in the canal near the Armory bridge a few days since, and as he sunk he is presumed to be the same party.
