VAN LEW MANSION NOT SOLD.
Only $12,100 Offered – Large Crowd Attended – Other Sales Yesterday.

The Van Lew homestead was not sold yesterday. The price offered was only $12,100, and the auctioneers declined to let the property go at that sum. The attendance on the sale was unusually brisk as was hoped for. Messrs. John T. Goddin & Co., were the auctioneers.

Mr. N. W. Bowe sold yesterday afternoon, Nos. 107 and 109 east Marshall street. The sum paid for each was $2,000. Mr. J. W. Solomon was the purchaser.

Another house, No. 105 east Marshall, was not sold.
