CITY COUNCIL. – A called meeting of the City Council was held yesterday evening at the City Hall. Present: Mr. P. R. Grattan, (chairman,) and Messrs. Smith Glazebrook, Lee, Epps, Crutchfield, Scott, Griffin, Clopton, Millspaugh, and Lancaster.
…A communication from the Mayor in relation to the Alms-house, and a petition in relation to whiskey destroyed on the night of the evacuation, were appropriately referred.
