         Sir,
                You are required to make provision for 1000 convalescents, in addition to the present number of sick in your hospital. The sick at present under treatment, can not be removed from the buildings they now occupy. Two prominent reasons justify this course, one is the objection to have well men quartered among so large a number of sick, 1200(?) and the other, the great difficulty of furnishing fuel at this point – These men have already used 4 cords of hospital wood.

               Gen'l Winder will be requested to have the men recently sent to occupy these buildings, removed as soon as possible and that no more be ordered there.
